Fat Burning Exercises - Access the Body of Your Dreams
By Fraser Baillie

Looking for effective fat burning exercises? Here are a few pointers. First, every exercise that you do is good for you, but there are specific ways to make the most out of your work-out.

The right exercise program for you depends on what you are currently doing. If you are doing nothing but sitting in front of the computer, all day, then start doing something. If you are already spending countless hours in the gym, can't seem to build any muscle or burn off any fat, then your diet is probably your problem.

Exercise alone will not build muscle. No matter how many bench presses you do, you won't get stronger unless you are eating enough protein. The body must have protein to build muscle cells and fibers. How much is enough?

Body builders strive for 1 gram of protein per pound of body-weight every day. As, they start building muscle, they gain weight, but lose fat. So, often they have to start supplementing their protein intake, if they want to continue to grow.

One of the best protein sources is the egg. It is a complete protein that does not have a limiting amino acid, so it need not be combined with other foods.

Once you are sure that you are getting enough protein, combine strength building with fat burning exercises. Invest in some good resistance bands and/or do push-ups. You don't need to do a lot and you need to alternate the type of exercise that you do on a regular basis. That way, you keep your body toned, all over.

Strength building is necessary to build muscle. You want to build muscle, because muscle is active tissue. It burns more calories, even when your body is at rest. You have probably heard about increasing your metabolism, unless you live in a cave and never see a commercial.

But, you want to avoid those supplements that claim to increase your metabolism. They are mostly caffeine or other stimulants. In order to actually increase your resting metabolic rate, you need to build muscle.

Aerobics are commonly called fat burning exercises. This is any movement that increases your heart rate and makes you breathe. Now, if you are gasping for breath, then you need to slow down. Learn about your personal target heart-rate and aim for that.

Combining a good diet plan with strength building and fat burning exercises can help you achieve long-term success. If you have problems with your appetite, feel tired, have a hard time losing weight or feel bloated, there may be other things going on inside your body, particularly if you have been fat for a long time.

Parasitic infections, in particular tape-worms, have been associated with long-standing obesity. Often when the tape-worms are removed, people find that seemingly unrelated health problems are resolved.

There are several herbal remedies that safely kill these worms and other parasites. So, if your fat burning exercises don't seem to be working for you, you might want to give them a try.

Diabetes and Exercise

Diabetes and Exercise
by: Mike Law
There are two main types of diabetes, type I and type II. Type I diabetes is characterized by the pancreas making too little or no insulin. An individual with diabetes type I will have to inject insulin throughout the day in order to control glucose levels. Type II diabetes, also known as adult onset diabetes, is characterized by the pancreas not producing enough insulin to control glucose levels or the cells not responding to insulin. When a cell does not respond to insulin, it is known as insulin resistance. When a subject is diagnosed with type II diabetes, exercise and weight control are prescribed as measures to help with insulin resistance. If this does not control glucose levels, then medication is prescribed. The risk factors for type II diabetes include: inactivity, high cholesterol, obesity, and hypertension. Inactivity alone is a very strong risk factor that has been proven to lead to diabetes type II. Exercise will have a positive effect on diabetes type II while improving insulin sensitivity while type I cannot be controlled be an exercise program. Over 90% of individuals with diabetes have type II. More...

Why Whey Protein?

Why Whey Protein?
by: Sandy Knoll
With all of the recent negative press given to body supplements, it makes good sense to be cautions about using different nutritional supplements as a part of your body building efforts.

Whey protein has been lauded as a safe, natural and simple supplement. It's use has become popular for those genuinely interested in good health through physical fitness and body building.

The importance of adequate protein levels in the body cannot be ignored. Since protein is used up when exercising, body builders must prevent muscle deterioration by maintaining protein levels. Naturally, building additional muscle mass will also require adequate levels. More...
